I Almost Played the Drums
Fifth grade was the earliest grade you were allowed to sign up for band in school. I started out on percussion and switched to trombone the following year. I’ve been playing the trombone ever since then and I love it! I enjoy playing solo music but I also enjoy playing in an ensemble as well.
- I am an active trombonist
- Learned I could play just about any instrument during college instrumental methods courses
- Band influences included James Swearingen, Ronald Lo Presti, John Williams, Eric Ewazen
- I love that I get to play a variety of instruments each day as part of my job
