More about Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing
When the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints revised and updated its hymnbook in 1985 this beloved hymn was omitted due to it being rarely sung in congregations of the church. Mac Wilberg, who was a choir director at the Church owned Brigham Young University and currently directs the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, wrote what would become a well-known arrangement of this hymn for the BYU choirs in 1993. That arrangement catapulted this hymn to the top of the beloved hymns list for members of the Church. This particular arrangement by me was originally written to be played on the piano for a ward choir and adapted to the organ for use in church services.
